We got the chance visiting here by joining the Big Bus Sightseeing (Hop On - Hop Off) tour and spent about an hour before the next schedule bus arrived.

Picture taken @ The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Wifey and I took a bus from 'Al-Ghubaiba Bus Station' in Dubai to Abu Dhabi Main Bus Station which cost around 15AED per trip. The frequency of the bus services is about every 40 mins approx and took 2 hours per journey. The only problem we encountered is that, when we reached at the Abu Dhabi Main Bus Station, we need to get a taxi to Yas Island which I can't remember how much was the fair costs. You guys have to google for alternative route or convenient way to avoid this. The good things about 'Abu Dhabi Main Bus Station' is near to Al Wahda Mall (voted as Best Mall in Abu Dhabi) which is well worth to visit and refill your backpack with food and water before headed back to Dubai..

The Ferrari World Abu Dhabi theme park is situated under a roof making it the largest indoor amusement park in the world. Ferrari World officially opened on November 4, 2010. The theme park is home to Formula Rossa, the world's fastest roller coaster. (source: wikipedia)

Still inside the Theme Park. The sun was too bright on that day, no problem for shooting landscape scenery but most of my subject were dark when shooting portrait. Any tips on these guy?

Image was place into "HDR" process but not satisfied with sky saturation. so had tweak the sky back to normal with the original photos.

Again the same location slightly above to the right of the ongoing "Universal Studios'" Constrution. We can see the lion head clearly now. (Question For General Knowledge - How many Merlion statues are there in Singapore?) Well, you guy's can Google on it right?! or probably OOF can tell us the answer again.. hehehe.

Have no problem stichting the trees here, but it's pain in the neck to stitch the fence below, have to clone some of them. hahaha.

Using 3 photos and same process as previously posted. As I increase the level of the image to brighten up the trees, the area where the sand and concrete below were being overexpose, so had to tweak the ground using "Different Exposure" technique. *For wanzie this is what you can do for the sky in your HDR's image.

A Construction site at the Sentosa Island in Singapore. I don't have much info of what are they building at that moment. I just took ride on the cable car and snap whatever I could possibly do for a Vertorama process. My only regrets was not having the wide lens with me.

In the middle of snapping the walkways at the newly completed waterfront in kb town, I heard a huge sound of a horn echoing from behind but it didn't do much distract to my concentration.
But when I'm done, I turn around and saw this.. and in a second of that moment my missus says "what are you waiting for? that will be a nice scenery to be captured"

As calmly as I normally do, stood up, point my camera, and wait patiently till the right moment & the right angle in my viewfinder and snap one set for the sky and another set for the ground, then just let the vessel pass by so that I could captured it again in a different perspective which appeared a bit more dramatic.. but you guys have to wait coz that's scene is for my next post...

which actually just being separated by the entrance door to this atrium.
I did not brought my flash with me on that day. . .
I just set my camera on shutter priority , ISO 200 and set the speed to 1/30s and finally just snap it.
Trust me, You never know whether the picture is good or bad until you process it. I know the ISO guru will definitely agree with me.

Last 2 weekends "balik kampong" to my wife's family residence in Temburong. There wasn't any queue at all at the Kuala Lurah's Immigration Post and just took around 5 mins for us crossing the border.
well, that's bcoz it is still 4 more days before the Hari Raya.

While i was there, I took the opportunity visiting to this place called Kampung Belais and Buda-buda, A recreation place for Family gathering where there's a kind of a fishing hut provided along the river, quite a convenience place for the Kaki2 pancing out there. Image was taken during our first VA outing but never thought it was worth to process.. until now (kes kehabisan gambar udah wah ni.) hahaha.

Well actually It's been a while I haven't backup all my images to another disk and during selecting, this image caught my eyes and decided to process.. and turns out to be quite nice . . .
Two set of photos, load to 'Dynamic Photo HDR 4' for hdr process, vertor'ed then reduce noise and unsharp mask.

The trick for this kind of shooting is using shutter priority mode 1/60s, pan along with the subject (subject will remain sharp while everything surrounding them will appears blurred) and using the continuous shooting (burst) mode to capture multiple shots and guaranteed 2 or 3 out of 5 shots will make out of it.

For the picture above were taken out from 6 shots which only 4 of them were just nice to make the sequence.

It's been a while.. more than 5 weeks doing nothing on the blog.. Yesterday had a chance to gather around with some of the Vivid Affair members & friends went for hunting, scouting, shooting and ended up at the famous "MUSTEH" stall at Tudung Saji area in KB.

Still got the touch "phew!!" on doing Vertorama + HDR.. using 2 sets, 2 photos each set.. and it took me quite a while to finish this one.. hehe.

I haven't got any chance or time to do the iso [i, saw] project. Not that I'm not interested on it but I rather took that challenge slowly, relax, santai dulu. . . make a research first.. eseh!!

I know "leading the lines" project has ended a few days ago, so this is not a late submition. hehehe
I just post this as the continuation image of our recent outing at Anduki Park with the rest of VA crew. and I still have 1 or 2 more photos to post before running out of it.. and maybe that is the time I'll do the "Sell Your Car" Project photo shooting.

When you are on the tube of Singapore flyer, there's a lot of angle to shoot.

This scenery was to the further left side of my first post... so guys, I leave a lot more of angle for anyone who got a change to aboard and took the the remaining scenery...
Go and point your camera to where the construction are on going... that will be a good challenge for stitching up the metal bars and cranes... shoot more to your right where there's a football field floating on the river....
My regrets was taking both scenery with 17mm!!! Damn! i should brought that wide lens with me that day..

Anyway.. Edit in lightroom to recover a bit and then stitch 2 photos in CS3, Reduce noise and sharpen back. Normally I do the stitching at the clouds but this time I like to do it at the ground as a challenge.

This is how the Wedding Dais (Pelamin) decorated for our newly wed colleagues that was held last Sunday (April12 2009) at the LLRC Lumut. Had to use high ISO as the ceiling is higher for the flash to bounce back, and no tripod!!.

I can't get this image stitch nicely... mind is somewhere else.. This is the best i can do.. as usual still using 2 photos for this Vertorama.

This image was taken a few days back which probably the day after when i missed the outing with other the VA guys. . This time i finally decided to try my luck on Vertorama (a disease that has been infected amongst the photo enthusiast..) hehe. .

Following what's OOF recommended.. basically one snap for the sky view with dark exposure and the other snap for the ground view with light exposure.. which then later both image stitch together with Photoshop or other image software that you guys can think of. Please see here . . (a great tutorial done by OOF for more on how to do Vertorama)

I'm currently doing some experiment using my archive images. This image was taken using only one exposure. I altered the EV in Photoshop and save 3 images using variation of -1, 0 & +1. . . Finally load into Photomatix and generate this HDR image.. 2nd HDR attempt and 1st time using Photomatix which give me a lot of options in manipulation the image. Thanks OOF. . . more HDRrrr to come.. hehehe
